An illustrated, pseudo-scientific index of childhood ailments and the methods to treat them.For this book I collected Jewish-Ashkenazi myths and folktales, which teach children etiquette and hygiene. Inspired by their grotesque humorous style I created the fifteen illnesses described in this book. Its' illustrations and general design draws inspiration from medieval illustration, Eastern and Western medical guides, and nineteenth century German children's books.The book was originally written and illustrated under the Pseudonym Dr. Rolf Kishintuches as my final project in the Visual communication programme at the Bezalel academy of art and design, Jerusalem, 2010. It was later published as a book in 2016, 2017 with the support of Artport foundation, and again in 2022 by self publishing.Designed by Nitzan Ron.
